REDAC Newcomers Event (a.k.a. REDACama)

New expats and spouses who feel isolated can make friends and find fulfillment with others
98% participant satisfaction
Relocating to foreign countries is often a time of anxiety. Most expat households, especially first-time expats, are starting a new life in a new country with no social connections. At REDAC, we provide a variety of opportunities for people who arrive at the same time to get to know each other. Unlike expats, spouses who feel isolated can find fulfillment and social connections.
Do you have any of these concerns?
-
Spouse is feeling isolated
-
Expat households’ personal lives are unstable and they cannot concentrate on their work
-
The company would like to take care of the accompanying family members, but is unable to do so

For families with young children
REDACama with Kids
01
In many cases, when children are preschoolers, they are not connected to their schools, it is difficult for mothers to make new friends and they spend most of their time alone with their children. REDAC provides such families with a place to interact online and proactively help them make new friends. You can join from anywhere in the U.S. via computer or smartphone.

For spouses
REDACama Tea Party
02
We also hold tea parties for spouses from time to time, which are open to everyone. This is a special event where they can share their questions and concerns, and because they are in the same situation, they can become friends as soon as they meet each other. Some of the participants have deepened their friendships through this event and have gone on trips together, and some of them have kept in touch with each other even after returning to Japan. This event is limited to the area where REDAC has its offices.

For expat families
REDACama Party
03
Parties for expat households, open to all, are also held from time to time. Spouses and children (depending on the event) are also welcome to attend. This is a very popular way for expats to make connections with people from different industries. This event is also a great opportunity for people in the same situation to get together and deepen their friendships, which is appreciated by all participants. This event is limited to the area where REDAC has its offices.

REDACama | Central Park Yoga
04
This outdoor yoga event is held in the open environment of Central Park. Not only is it a unique New York City experience, but it is also a very popular annual event where participants can enjoy socializing with each other in a picnic-style setting after unwinding with yoga.

For expat families
REDACama | Hiking
05
We have started an outdoor event in Silicon Valley. We invite expats who have just arrived in the U.S. to join us for a day of fun and exchange while hiking in the mountains together. Even if they have never met each other before, they feel no tension because they are sharing the experience and talking with each other, and the fresh air and activities in nature are very pleasant.

Thank you very much to everyone at REDAC for hosting the Lady’s REDACama Party in New York.
When I first arrived in New York, I did not know many people, so I was very anxious. I was the only female expat in our company, so I did not have anyone nearby whom I could easily talk to about work and private matters.
I was invited to the Lady’s REDACama Party, which is exclusively for working women, and for the first time I was able to meet female expats in New York. The participants were all of the same generation, and I found out that they were facing similar problems unique to female expats, and we were able to spend a very meaningful time exchanging information. I became friends with the people I met at the party, and now we enjoy shopping, eating together, going to musicals and museums, and spending enjoyable weekends together.
The other day, I went on a trip to the Grand Canyon and Antelope with friends I met at the party. I have never met female expats even at Japanese company gatherings, and I never thought that I would be able to make friends in the same situation. I would like to continue to enjoy a fulfilling expat life with my friends. Thank you very much!!

Thank you for a great time at the REDACama Tea Party yesterday. We had an interesting time from start to finish, from the time of the car accident in our conversation, to the snow season, to the house, to travel destinations.
Afterwards, we went to lunch with everyone who attended and heard more about their backgrounds and talked about their children.
We had a lot of fun, and we all enjoyed each other’s company since we all came at the same time.
I am grateful to have had the opportunity to meet them. Thank you very much.
